💡 Pro Tips

  • Get a NEXUS card — the Whirlpool Bridge is almost always under 15 min with NEXUS, vs. 30–60 min on Rainbow Bridge.
  • Avoid Rainbow Bridge on summer weekends — the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge is 15 min north and rarely backed up.
  • Peace Bridge (Buffalo–Fort Erie) is south of the Falls area — useful if you're coming from or going to the southern US.
  • Wait times spike around 11am–3pm — early morning (before 9am) or evening crossings are usually fast.
